13 Australian phishing sites have been closed down in an 11 month global crackdown.
During the operation
- nearly 1400 sites were closed
- 700 sites brokering stolen credit card numbers were closed
- the number of detected sites trading credit card numbers illegally fell from 139 in June 2004 to 10 in May 2005
Top of the list was South Korea, with 83 sites closed
