Sued for not having a web site

A St. Petersburg court is examining a complaint against several Russian governmental departments for not having Web sites, Interfax reports. Lawyer Yuri Skobin says not having a public site is a violation of the human right for information.

The obligation to design and maintain a Web site was set by a governmental resolution some time ago, Skobin says.

Previously, a St Petersburg court had asked for papers proving the websites did not exist.
