200 million people wear jeans from Turkey

Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, has said that Turkey will earn $2.8 million from denim and jeans exports this year.

According to Tuzmen, 200 million people in the world wear Turkish jeans, earning Turkey $2.2 billion in 2004.

Tuzmen stated that Turkey was making 22 percent of its denim exports to Germany, 13.4 percent to Britain, 9 percent to the United States, 6 percent to the Netherlands and 6 percent to Spain.
