Australia comes down hard on Zimbabwe

Australia has tightened sanctions against Zimbabwe following the Mugabe governments, "Operation Restore Order". An estimated 20,000 were arrested, as homes and businesses were destroyed.

Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer has called on the Zimbabwean Government of Robert Mugabe to stop the operation and provide food and shelter for those who are in need.

Zimbabwe passport holders, including diplomats, will now be unable to transit through Australian airports without a visa.

I am sure that will have a great impact on Mugabe, and no doubt following this strong action by our fearless Minister, Mr Mugabe will soon be seen handing out peanut butter sandwiches and opening up a B&B.

Provide food and shelter for those who are in need? Hell, we don't even do that here.
