The British government has launched a campaign aimed at reducing the amount of office waste.
The campaign kicked off with a 35-foot paper aeroplane over the City of London.
The plane launched by Envirowise, a government-funded organisation was made of 1584 sheets of A4 paper, the average amount of paper an office worker gets through in just one month.
In this day and age, there is no need for such waste. In a properly organised and systemised office, costly and labour intensive paperwork can be greatly reduced.
It is not difficult to implement such procedures; the greatest problem in most cases, is a reluctance to change.
The plane btw, will be recycled.
