Children not allowed to see Catholic ad on abstinence

A TV advertisement in south-eastern Massachusetts, sponsored by the Catholic organization, Abstinence Challenging Teens in Our Neighborhood, has been banned by some Comcast Corps networks.

The ad is aimed at promoting abstinence in teenagers. Although a spokesperson for the PR agency responsible for the spot claims, "There's no racy language or images", Comcast officials are concerned that the ad may be seen by children in the 6-9 age group.

It is ironic that an ad urging young people to think before experimenting with sex, is deemed suitable only for those old enough to have already discovered the consequences.
