Is China dumping shoes in Europe?

Following complaints from European shoemakers of an estimated sevenfold leap in China's imports since January 2005, the European Commission will hold an investigation to determine if China (and India), are engaging in predatory pricing.

In the first four months of this year, imports of shoes from China are up 681% - while prices are down 28%.

China however, says the investigation is unwarranted.
