Advertising: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co to turn off the lights

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co said Tuesday it will turn off neon advertising signs at all of its 220 group business offices across the nation during the summer, to cut energy consumption and improve its image as an ecologically friendly company.

This will include the neon signs of companies such as Panasonic and National.

The scheme will operate from July 21 to Sept 30
