Advertising: San Francisco 49ers hope ad campaign will boost attendances

The San Francisco 49ers are to embark on a $2 million marketing campaign. The campaign will see the team advertising as far away as Sacramento. San Francisco's KPIX-TV will also give expanded team coverage before and after games.

The San Francisco office of McCann Erickson created the brand campaign with input from a fans' focus group.
