Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP Group Plc received 23 million pounds ($40 million), last year, which makes him the highest paid chief executive officer among Britain's 100 biggest companies.

WPP employs 65,000 employees in over 100 countries. Sorrell is regarded as one of the most powerful figures in advertising.
