Banking: Banks used internet chat room following London explosions

The BBC reports that banks used a secret internet chatroom to help keep London's financial markets open after Thursday's bomb attacks.

The Bank of England, the Treasury and the Financial Services Authority used the chatroom to talk to the major banks about how they were coping.

The contingency plan was put in place following the September 11 attacks.
