IT services in Asia-Pacific region set to grow

India and China are the main forces responible for a projected growth in the information technology (IT) services market in the Asia-Pacific region.

Technology research house Gartner projects growth at an annual compound rate of 8.9 per cent from 2004 to 2009. The global expansion rate is 6.1 per cent.

India's IT services market is projected to grow 22.7 per cent this year, and China 11.8 per cent.
