London Explosions: Livingstone shows again why he shouldn't be allowed out without a responsible adult

Following an uninformed, contradictory, cliché heavy speech riddled with assumptions, the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, has said: "If this had happened 24 hours earlier, the IOC membership, always wary of potential terrorism impacts, would have instead elected Paris to host the games."

This is probably true, and of course I realise that Ken has never been the sort of person who should be allowed to speak in public without a responsible adult.

However, I would have thought he could have waited just a little longer before coming out with what many of the loved ones of those killed and injured in this attack by unknown person or persons, would consider a rather tactless and tacky remark, that rightly or wrongly, gives the perception that his concerns are more financial than humanitarian.

Ken also seems to have mixed views of those who committed the attacks. One moment he says: "Finally I wish to speak through you directly to those who came to London today to take life. I know that you personally do not fear to give your own life in exchange for taking others." He then adds: "And even after your cowardly attack..." Fearless cowards is a new one on me.

You know Ken, there are people you can pay to write speeches. Try it - you would avoid all the problems you usually have when you address your subjects.
