Outsourcing: Outsourcing is here to stay - and growing

According to a study released on Wednesday, the number of service jobs outsourced from the west to developing countries, is expected to reach 4.1 million by 2008.

Despite the scare mongering that is always associated with outsourcing, the McKinsey Global Institute say the trend will have only a small effect on workers in the industrialised world because of the relatively modest percentage of the workforce affected.
