Retail: British women spend £31,680 on shoes in their lifetime

A survey carried out by Churchill Home Insurance, reveals that the average woman is likely to spend around £31,680 (US$55,202) on shoes in her lifetime.

In addition, they will spend £15,840 (US$27,596) on accessories such as belts, handbags and jewellery.

Don't you just love consumer surveys that use phrases such as, "the average..." Somehow, they always make me feel inadequate!
