The value of PR in China

Zhaopin.com, a leading Chinese human resources websites, reports the average salary for PR employees increased 11 per cent year-on-year over the first six months of 2005.

At a time when large corporations in China such as KFC, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Colgate-Palmolive, Haagen-Dazs, and Bright Dairy faced major PR problems, the reason for the sharp increase is best summed up by Liu Xiping - managing director of the Beijing office of Weber Shandwick.

"We cannot change what has happened in the crises, but we can change how people view them."

I must add that to my "classic quotes"!
