Advertising: Nazi imagery used to promte Vodka

Graeme Smith in the Globe and Mail reports that Vodka ads are luring Russians with Nazi imagery.

The brand is called, "Civil Defence" and a red-and-black label shows a drawing of a man carrying a sledgehammer - an almost identical image that Nazi propagandists used in their advertisements for Hitler.

The marketing company Vinexim, claims it is pure coincidence that the artwork is so similar to a 1932 Nazi poster proclaiming, "We want bread - choose Hitler."
