That's my lot for tonight! Apart from the usual Australian Soap Opera, "The Telstra Sell Off" not too much of note has occurred here today that would pique the interest of a global audience.In fact, the only thing that did catch my imagination today was not a business or current affairs story - but a little girl and her mum.
I was sitting in my local shopping plaza (a lovely little spot with open air cafes) when they walked past. The little girl could not have been more than about three. They headed towards a table and mum asked, "What would you like today dear - latte or cappuccino?"
Bloody Norah - in my day it was what kind of pop would you like! I must be getting old.
My signing off photo tonight is the New Years Eve Gala at Sydney Opera House - and yes, the audience was allowed to take photos! The hand belongs to Mel, my fiancee.
