Hitchen is getting hitched - Mel and I have named the date!

A few readers know that my American fiancee Mel and I, have been busy going through the process that will allow Mel to come to Australia under the partner migration scheme.

We have now reached the stage where we are able to look at a specific date! June 9 2006!

The date is not only realistic but also symbolic. On that day, I will been in Australia exactly 25 years. Had I not come here, Mel and I may never have met.

Mel was originally a client, and breaking all the rules and disregarding all the advice I would normally give about getting involved with clients - I soon fell in love with her - and she with me!

In many ways we are complete opposites. Our culture is different, we have different views on politics and religion - but we understand and respect those differences. We listen to each other and we learn from each other.

And we love each other.
