International Development: Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, aims to create Customs Act

Officials from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa) are meeting in Mangochi with the aim of establishing a Customs Act which would remove barriers currently hindering business in the region.

Member states are expected to adopt the legal framework that will create an intra and inter-regional business environment.
