International Development: World Bank to grant $3 bn to India

The World Bank is set to grant $3 billion dollars worth of aid for India's Bharat Nirman Programme over the next three years.

Paul Wolfowitz, the President of the Bank, said that the grant would be given for strengthening India's infrastructural facilities and would be used for building roads, provision of drinking water, and establishing irrigation facilities in villages.
