International Relations: Iran, Russia expand ties

Iran's Presidential Office Media Department, has reported that President Ahmadinejad said that Tehran and Moscow have deep-seated and historical relations which positively affects their mutual ties in the important regional and international issues.

He was speaking after a meeting with the new Russian Ambassador to Iran, Alexander Sadornikov.

The Islamic Republic Newsagency reports that the two nations have close cooperation in political, economic and trade and Moscow is building Iran's Bushehr nuclear powerplant.
