IT: Korea ranks third in IT use

Korea's National Computerization Agency has said that Korea has risen four places to be ranked third out of 50 countries in terms of information technology this year.

englishchosun.com reports that an NCA official said Korea has the most high-speed Internet subscribers and third largest number of Internet users in the world. The number of cable TV subscribers also grew at a rate of 15 percent, higher than other countries' average growth rate of 8 percent last year.

Statistics provided by the International Telecommunication Union show Sweden in first place, the U.S. second, Denmark fourth and Switzerland fifth.
