Politics: Panama and Cuba re-establish diplomatic relations

Cuba and Panama re-established diplomatic relations in a ceremony in Havana presided over by Presidents Fidel Castro and Martin Torrijos. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez also attended the ceremony.

Documents signed by both countries stated their awareness of the need to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, in full compliance with international law.
