Retail: Neckermann to stop selling thongs for young children

The German mail-order giant Neckermann has bowed to pressure from parent and advocacy groups, and will no longer sell thongs for young children.

The company had been selling thongs for 3 and 4 year-olds.

I guess there are many reasons why a parent would want to buy a 3 or 4 year old a pair of thongs, but I am buggered if I can think of one.
