Small Business: New rules benefit Hong Kong SMEs

SMEs in Hong Kong are benefiting from simplified and cost reducing accounting standards introduced by The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).

Chan Mo-po Paul, chairman of the working group that developed the standard said "The SME financial reporting standard is simple but provides enough information for the shareholders, banks and other creditors. It is written in such a way that most businesspersons can easily understand."

The new standards have saved SMEs thousands of dollars
