Automotive: PC manufacturer sets sights on low cost motor bikes

Shantanu Ghosh, the man behind Amar PC, is setting his sights on low cost motor bikes.

The bikes will have an engine capacity of 100 to 125 cc and Ghosh plans to produce 25,000 bikes every month. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with China's Guangzhau, who will provide the technical support to develop the bike engines.

The first set of bikes is expected to hit the market by September next year and will cost far less than a Hero Honda.

Will this set a new trend? Shall we soon see tattooed Hells Angels roaring down the highway on their Windows 1000 cc bikes and being asked, "Where do you want to go today?"
