Biotech: Stem cell company looks to United Kingdom, India and Australia

Stem cell firm Cygenics, plans to set up cord blood banking facilities in the United Kingdom, India and Australia in a move that could be worth US$700 million by 2007.

The Australia-listed company is known in Singapore for its tissue banking arm, CordLife. For a fee, it preserves umbilical cords - a rich source of haematopoietic stem cells.
