Defence: US gives Pakistan 8 aircraft

The United States has given Pakistan, 8 long-range maritime patrol aircraft This will allow the Pakistan Navy to increase its ability to carry out long distance surveillance and fire Harpoon missiles at enemy targets.

The P-3C Orion aircraft are being provided free of charge by the US Navy and the expenses for modification of aircraft avionics systems will be met mostly from the US military aid.
