Entertainment: Zimbabwe claims Nicole Kidman movie a CIA plot

President Robert Mugabe's government has attacked the The Interpreter, starring Nicole Kidman, as part of a propaganda campaign by the CIA.

In an article in the government controlled, The Herald, acting Minister of Information and Publicity Chen Chimutengwende said: "The CIA-backed film showed that Zimbabwe's enemies did not rest."

It also linked the film to efforts by Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer to have Mugabe indicted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.
