That wraps it up for Saturday night!Spring and summer are definitely on the way and I am sure you will all be fascinated to know, that a lady in my local suburb has just heard the migratory channel-billed cuckoo, of the season.
The cuckoos migrate from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia to lay their eggs in currawong nests. They are well known to many Sydney residents for their seemingly non stop shrieking - a bit like a knickerless Charlotte Church sitting on a hedgehog.
So if you are stuck for small talk over the weekend, just wait for a convenient moment to ask, "Did you know the first channel-billed cuckoo of the season has been heard in Sydney?" I bet - as Sir Michael Caine would say - not a lot of people know that.
Yes, I know he never actually said that!
Oh yes - if you want another piece of useless information, the house in this mornings photo, is my doctors. Don't say I don't keep you informed!
Wherever you may be - be safe!
