Health: Tackling teenage pregnancies in burger bars

Newz.in reports that a sexual health nurse working for Gateshead Primary Care Trust in the UK, gave a schoolgirl a contraceptive injection in a McDonald's toilet. Other girls were given contraceptives outside school gates and sexual health advice in burger bars.

Angela Star, who earlier this year was named Sexual Health Nurse of the Year by the National Association of Nurses for Contraception and Sexual Health, said that she would help youngsters wherever they felt comfortable.

I am not sure I like the idea of any sort of injection being given in a toilet but at least someone has the balls to tackle the problem of teenage pregnancies with practical, street fighting solutions, rather than self righteous hypocrisy and usually profitable, hypocrisy.
