Australian workplace gurus are advising employers that they face the risk of age discrimination cases if they use words such as "energetic" or "dynamic" in recruitment ads.
At present only 44 per cent of best practice companies have age diversity policies compared to the 91 per cent with sexual harassment procedures and 75 per cent with women-oriented policies.
Fortunately for the poor bloody over-regulated employer, there are still ways of ensuring they are able to employ the type of person they want. After all, it is the employers who pay the cost of human capital, not the trade unions or smart-alec lawyers who have never employed anyone in their lives.
