Industrial Relations: Kuwait union wants limit on expatriate labourers

The Kuwait Labourers Union is to ask the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour and the Ministry of Interior to prepare a study on expatriate labourers in the country.

The union wants to fix the maximum number of expatriate labourers of a particular nationality entering Kuwait. They also want the study to determine the type of expatriate labourers to be brought in to work in some occupations in the private sector.

In related news, The American Solidarity Delegation intends opening a branch in Kuwait to support the union.
