International Development: Another accessory for dedicated followers of anti-poverty fashion

Integrated Enterprises 'N' Development (FRIEND) has asked Fijians to wear white bands tomorrow to show their support for the global effort to end poverty.

FRIEND official and spokeswoman Lori Banks said people needed to know how important it was to send messages across to leaders to end the problem of poverty.

The white arm band no doubt, is designed to compliment bracelets, T shirts and little banners on blogs that are of course oh so fashionable and chique. Definitely "must haves" for the dedicated followers of anti-poverty fashion who want the world to know they are so caring about countries they didn't know existed, until they became the latest, "Good Cause Of The Month."

These people always remind me of the Tony Hancock sketch, "The Blood Donor." His assertion that he didn't want praise for being so community spirited, didn't stop him asking, "Do we get a badge?"
