International Development: Anti-poverty conference in Botswana

The Botswana Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (BOCONGO) is holding a two-day conference on trade and poverty reduction starting today.

The purpose of the conference is to "identify ways of improving dialogue between government, the private sector and civil society on trade negotiation issues. The conference will identify training needs and other trade capacity building needs for NGOs; identify possible areas for research on trade and poverty and evaluate strategies on how to mainstream trade into NGO programs."

When they have done all the above - sod all will have changed.
