International Development: One million Kenyans still need food aid - UN report

A report by the UN World Food Programme (WFP) says an estimated one million people in Kenya will need food aid until February 2006.

The agency said that despite improved conditions in some drought stricken areas, there has been significant deterioration in household food security in most parts of north-eastern Kenya and in a few localised areas. Food prices in the drought affected areas had also continued to rise.
