The Orlando Business Journal reports that The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation and its partners are committing resources to aid Hurricane Katrina victims on workforce issues.
Services being provided are help in filing unemployment compensation claims, general workforce services and referrals to humanitarian and health service agencies.
Florida has an ongoing agreement with other states for mutual acceptance on unemployment compensation claims filing, reaffirmed with the labor department officials from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
