Small Business: British Library to become chief source of intellectual property information

The British Library is set to become the first port of call entrepreneurs' seeking information on intellectual property.

From Monday 5 September, the Library's Business & Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) will incorporate the Patent Office's search facility for information on patents, innovation and intellectual property.

Entrepreneurs and SMEs will be able to search comprehensive databases for information on patents and designs as well as access to trademark searches that cannot be accessed on the internet.
