Telecommunications: Carlos Sim continues his buying spree

Reuters reports that Telecom de El Salvador, America Movil's subsidiary in El Salvador, has said it expects to invest $160 million through 2006 to expand its network across the country.
America Movil, the biggest Latin American cellular operator, is owned by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim.

As I reported recently, Sim has also purchased a majority stake in Colombia Telecom for an initial investment of $350 million.
