Trade: China and Canada seek to expand bilateral trade

Chinese President Hu Jintao, has said that China and Canada aim to double bilateral trade to US$30 billion by 2010.

During a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, he said: "We are fully confident of us realizing these targets and objectives."

The two countries also signed agreements to enhance cooperation in transportation, food safety and nuclear energy.
