Aviation: Air Canada to charge more for pets

In an effort to combat ever increasing fuel prices, Air Canada have announced that they are to raise fees for transporting pets and cut back its baggage allowance. If you want to take Tiddles on overseas flights, pets will no longer allowed in the cabin. In addition it will cost $2 for a "comfort zone" kit that includes an inflatable plastic pillow and polyester blanket.

Air Canada president Montie Brewer, said that the airlines "weight reduction team" had identified a potential $45 million in fuel reducing measures.
