Education: Malaysia to require registration of non-citizen students

The Malaysian Education Ministry has issued a directive, requiring that school children, whose parents or parent are non-Malaysian, must register with the related education departments in the country. Students will now have to complete a form to enable the ministry to collect data on students and their parent's status.

The move is apparently linked to the fact that non-citizen students are charged higher fees.
