I will leave you tonight with an excellent example of how not to get your message across to your target audience.
The Sydney Morning Herald's "Column 8" reports that a pamphlet from the University of Western Sydney, inviting people to attend a talk "Comparing Modalities of Road Safety and Public Health Messages," contained the following sentence.
"Finally, some implications for practitioners are noted, including the potential value of CElow modality, forms such as cartoons, and the need for practitioners, human behaviour experts, and where possible, target groups, to be involved when it comes to consulting advertising professionals, who may be more used to creating desires for new products than enhancing capacities for risk avoidance, and may need prompting to avoid reliance on familiar road safety message types."
Remember, this is designed to teach others how to get the message across!
Wherever you may be - be safe!
