Goodnight from Sydney

Actually it is goodnight for a few days!

Tomorrow I will be away on business and will not be back until the following afternoon. Even though things have changed, it will be great to get away to a different environment and away from certain ongoing situations. i On Global Trends will not be updated until Thursday evening Sydney time (Wednesday morning for US readers).

Yesterday I came across a story on Ghanaweb. It is not an earth shattering story but one I found quite charming. It is the story of a little boy who went missing for three days, before being discovered and returned to his mum by a woman known locally as Sister Yaa.

Maybe it is just me, but the beautiful simplicity of the writing somehow grabbed my attention, and to attempt a more detailed overview would be like trying to copy an artists brush strokes. I also love the way the article gives us a glimpse into a world so many of us never have chance to see or experience.

Toddler on three-day sojourn

Until Thursday, wherever you may be - be safe!

Photo: I noticed this street cleaning van when I looked out my window the other day. Maybe not very artistic but not often you see a koala tied to a road sweeper!
