Human Resources: Iraq to recruit teachers from Iraqis living abroad

In an effort to fill vacancies and halt a decline in academic standards, the Iraqi government has announced plans to recruit 5,000 qualified teaching staff from Iraqis living abroad.

An international advertising campaign will be launched to recruit 4,500 Iraqi graduates holding a masters degree and 500 who have a PhD. Areas of particular interest are; medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, biology, engineering, physics, computer science and public administration.
