IT: Microsoft to produce low cost version of its Windows software for India

In an attempt to beat rampant piracy, Microsoft intends releasing a low cost version of its Windows software for India. Book publishers apparently started the trend by printing lower cost versions of books soled in India or South East Asia.

I wonder how many people are asking, "If they can sell it cheaper in India, why can't they do the same here?"
