Religion: God is a politician

The dean of St. Paul's Cathedral, Namirembe has said the church could not preach without talking about politics because it has become part and parcel of everyday life.

Claiming that the Church is the foundation of good politics, Canon Musiwufu Magala said: "Even God is a politician. It is only that he practises good, not dirty, politics."

He then went on to say: "Our leaders, once noble, are now dining with thieves and crooks. Global Fund, junk helicopters and (undersized) army uniforms have come and passed. People are getting rich at the expense of other Ugandans."
