Small Business: It were good enough in my day lad

A survey of British businesses employing 10 or fewer staff, reveals that micro companies prefer paper and pen to computers when keeping their books.

The survey by Kashflow, shows that 50 per cent of such businesses manage their finances manually. Ironically, a third say they feel like they spend too much time doing paperwork.

Only 21 per cent of those who use computers to manage their accounts, use task specific software.
