Small Business: Jordan to help small businesses

Good news for small businesses in Jordan. The government is to make available small, low-interest loans for small business projects and to "create the necessary conditions" for these to succeed.

In order to achieve this, planning and international cooperation minister Suhayr al-Ali, said that Jordan will work with various United Nations bodies, national non-governmental and micro-credit organisations.

Jordan, along with 29 other countries, will take part in the Global Micro-Entrepreneurship award (GMA), an initiative backed by the American Citigroup and the United Nations Development Project (UNDP).
